DIRECTOR ANGELA-PAOLINO THOMPSON
Angela has been developing and teaching dance for the past nineteen
years. She has been dancing since the age of three and trained diligently
at the Joffrey School of Ballet, NYU Tisch School of the Performing
Arts, Steps, Broadway Dance Center, Theatre Dance, Dance Plus and
various local studios. She has choreographed and performed on a national
level and is also a judge at many world renowned dance competitions.
A graduate of NYU Stern School of Business, Angela turned her love
of the art into a prosperous dance business. L.A. Dance Limited was
established in 1989 and has an enrollment of over 600 students. L.A.
Dance South, Inc. established in 1996 also boasts an enrollment of
over 600. Together the two studios have developed a phenomenal reputation
Island wide and throughout the nation. “L.A. Dance
School
of the Arts”, a state of the art, high tech new facility offering
lessons in dancing, singing and acting will be open spring
2004. To ensure that her students receive the highest quality, most
well rounded training possible, Angela brings in the best instructors
from all over the world. Her students have appeared in: The Macy’s
Thanksgiving Day Parade, Madison Square Garden, The Off-Broadway productions
“Shake the Floor” and “Red Hot Broadway”, on MTV, has been cast for
many movies, commercials and print ads, have appeared in many Broadway
productions including “Music Man”, “Annie”
and “Big”. Whether students are looking for professional
success or just looking to have fun, L.A. Dance has a style and class
that will suite all types of dancers needs.
